New Ross sits between Wexford, Waterford and south Kilkenny, and drivers from all three tend to pass through it. The run to us is the N30 to Enniscorthy and then the N11 north — under an hour, and it avoids the Waterford city crawl entirely.
A lot of what comes in from this side of the county is working vehicles: crew cabs, pickups and vans off the quays and the surrounding farms. Rear and cargo glass blacked out for load privacy, cab glass kept inside the legal limit so there is never an NCT or roadside argument.
Older cars often arrive with purpling, bubbled film from a previous job. Stripping that off is quoted as part of the same job, up front, rather than added at the end.

New Ross tinting questions
- Do you tint cars in New Ross?
- Yes. We serve New Ross from our workshop in Gorey, Co. Wexford, about 55 minutes away. You drive the car to us; there is no branch in New Ross and we do not fit outdoors.
- How much does window tinting cost in New Ross?
- The same fitted prices apply wherever you drive from: from €90 for a set of front windows, from €140 for a rear set and from €190 for a full car excluding the windscreen. Saloons start at €100 and SUVs or jeeps at €110, up to €240 for a full SUV. There is no travel charge and no quote-on-the-day surprise.
- Where is the nearest place to get car windows tinted to New Ross?
- Our Gorey workshop, roughly 55 minutes from New Ross, also used by drivers from Campile, Ballywilliam, Rosbercon. Because everything is fitted indoors in one dust-controlled space, the finish is consistent in a way mobile fitting cannot match.
- How long will my car be with you?
- Most cars are finished in two to three hours, so a run from New Ross is a single trip. Drop it in the morning and it is normally ready the same afternoon. Leave the windows up for 3 to 5 days afterwards while the film cures.
- Is the tint legal to drive in Wexford?
- Yes, when the shades are kept inside Irish limits: at least 65% light transmission on the windscreen and 50% on the front side windows. Rear doors, quarter glass and the rear screen have no darkness limit, so those can go as dark as you like. We check the shade against the limits before we start, not after.
- Will tinted windows fail the NCT?
- Legal rear tint does not fail an NCT. A car fails when the windscreen or front side windows drop below the light-transmission levels above, or when damaged film obstructs vision. If a previous installer went too dark up front, we can strip it and refit a legal film.
- Does the tint block UV and reduce heat?
- Quality automotive film blocks effectively all UVA and UVB, which is what fades dashboards and bleaches rear seats. Heat is different: dyed film mainly cuts glare, while ceramic film rejects a large share of infrared. We will tell you plainly which one your budget buys.
- Can you remove old or purple tint before fitting new film?
- Yes. Old film is steamed and peeled, the adhesive cleaned off the glass, and the car re-tinted properly. Tint removal is charged at €200 because it is slow work, and rear screens are done carefully to protect the demister lines.
- Do you tint vans and jeeps for New Ross businesses?
- Yes. Rear and load-area glass on vans, jeeps and crew cabs can be blacked out completely for load security, with the cab glass kept inside the legal limits. Commercial vehicles are priced on the SUV / jeep scale.
- What is covered by the warranty?
- A Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty on the film — covering bubbling, peeling, cracking and colour change (purpling) — plus our own Lifetime Installation Guarantee on the fitting. Damage caused by ammonia-based cleaners or blades on the inside of the glass is not covered.
